Order of Worship

Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Holy Spirit, our hope for life is dead without you. Remind us of the words and promises of Jesus. Speak through your Word to revive us again. We would be so bold as to ask this, not just for St. Paul’s, but that you would awaken all Lutheran churches. Revive also, your whole church in America, and, Lord, use us to preach the gospel so that by your power there may be revival in our land, and that we might be states united under God in Christ. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We cannot flee from your presence, Lord God. You are with us both in life and in death. You were with us even before we were born, when we were yet in our mothers’ wombs. Knowing this truth from the psalmist today, we pray for all the unborn, that you would protect them from the wicked men of blood. Examine us too, O Lord; test us and root out any grievous ways within us so that we might be led in your everlasting way. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We give thanks for the birth of Walker Jefferson Powlas, asking that he and his mother would grow strong—not only in their bodies but in their spirits. Fill with your Spirit all those people among us who are recovering, or ill, or mourning, so that they may remember to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Spirit of Truth, convict the world about sin and righteousness and judgment. For we are oppressed because we bear your name. Encourage us to keep your Word and name. Work through the Word to guide us into all the truth, and finally, into the blessed embrace of Jesus. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
