Order of Worship
Download today's bulletin PDF for the entire order of worship and more.
Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, and for all people according to their needs.
Bring your church together, Lord, as your people were gathered before you and Joshua. Give us hearts to serve you, to make worship together our excuse for missing everything else. Bring back those who have yet to return since Covid or for some other reason. Help us all to declare with Joshua that for us and for our families, we will serve you alone. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
You are above all, God. We would raise ourselves and reason our way toward finding you, but we do not touch you. You are beyond our reach and reason. Ours is to humble ourselves; yours is to descend to us by your grace. Give us the faith that apprehends your grace. Bless us with listening ears as your Spirit opens the Word to us, and move us to worship you in spirit and in truth. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us pastors who teach us to walk as children of light. We pray especially for Christiana, Salem, and Concordia Lutheran Churches who have been in the call process for a while. Give them patience and finally, bring them pastors who lead them to walk in love, even as Christ gave himself up for us. We are grateful to you for calling Brian Lord to become a pastor here at St. Paul’s and are thankful for the ways you are opening the way for him to join us in ministry. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Give us faith to believe to trust in you alone, and keep us in faith through the means of Word and Sacrament. Help those among us who are weak, ill, suffering, sad, or mourning, to continue believing that you are the Living Bread come down from heaven and that through this belief they will live forever. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your mercy — through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Visitor Info
Though we livestream our services, we invite you to join us for an in-person service if you live in the area or are passing through. St. Paul's features traditional worship and a message grounded in the Scriptures and guided by the Lutheran Confessions — all in a friendly, multigenerational environment. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday.
We welcome and encourage children to worship with us. Just before the sermon, our children take up a spare change offering for mission. Then they join Pastor Ryman on the chancel steps for a chat about today's Scripture. We think you will love this part of the service.
